Indian smartphone maker LAVA International on Tuesday announced the launch of its latest tablet QPAD R704 at a price of Rs 8,499.
The Delhi-based company will be targeting young working professionals, students in professional courses and enterprise segment with the launch of its tablet with single SIM 3G voice and video call capabilities.
There are several tablets in the same price range. Lava IvoryS Tablet is priced at Rs 8,650; Acer Iconia A1-830 tablet is available for a price of Rs 9,999; Digiflip Pro XT 801 tablet for Rs 8,999; Asus Fonepad 7 2014 FE170CG for Rs 7,499; Datawind UbiSlate 9Ci tablet for Rs 7,999; XOLO QC800 tablet for Rs 9,990; and Karbonn A34 HD tablet for Rs 7,990 in the Indian devices market.
Lava QPAD R704 tablet features 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor, GPS, Android Jelly bean 4.3 Android OS, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB, 2MP rear camera and 0.3 MP front camera .
Connectivity options of the latest tablet include Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity, Bluetooth, EDGE and 2G, Lava said.
The tablet is equipped with High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) which provides support for higher resolution videos and Snapdragon Audio for rich 3D surround.
R704 also features Qualcomm Interference Cancellation and Equalization (Q-ICE) that enriches the network capacity by reducing the noise in the cellular network and enhances the mobile broadband user experience.
3,500 mAh battery delivers up to 300 hours of standby time and 10 hours talk time. The Qualcomm Quick Charge technology further allows 30 percent faster charging on the device.
