Xiaomi has announced the Redmi 6 Pro in China. Notably, the company has also launched the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A recently in China. At the same launch event, Redmi 6 Pro was also expected to debut, but for some reasons, the company didn’t launch the handset.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro comes in three variants – 3GB RAM/32GB storage, 4GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage, priced at CNY 999 (around Rs 10,500), CNY 1,199 (around Rs 12,500) and CNY 1,299 (around Rs 13,600) respectively.
The handset features a 5.84-inch 1080p+ display with a 2280×1080 pixel resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core 2.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, paired with Adreno 506 GPU. The device runs on the Android Oreo-based MIUI 9.
The smartphone bears a dual rear camera setup with 12MP sensor featuring f/2.2 aperture and another 5MP sensor. On the front there is a 5MP camera with portrait mode feature, PDAF and AI face unlock.
The Redmi 6 Pro houses a 4,000mAh battery. The phone is available in Black, Blue, Gold, Pink and Red color options. The company has not commented on the launch of the device in India.
