Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi 5 in India on March 14. Notably, the smartphone was earlier launched in China, last year. Redmi 5 is said to be the successor of Redmi 4. It will be exclusively available on Amazon India, mi.com and Mi Home.

Price
The device is launched with three variants, 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage, 3GB/32GB, and 4GB/64GB. The price of the Redmi 5 starts from Rs 7,999 for RGB RAM variants, Rs 8,999 for 3GB variant and Rs 10,999 for 4GB variant.
Specs and features
The smartphone features a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and aluminum body. It is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and Adreno 506 GPU. On the camera front, Redmi 5 has a 12MP rear camera with 1.25-micron pixels. The 5MP snapper comes with flash, face recognition and Smart Beauty 3.0 app.
The handset marks 3300mAh battery under the hood and runs on the Android Nougat on the top of MIUI 9. Xiaomi Redmi 5 will be available in black, gold, pink, blue and lake blue colors.
