Xiaomi has launched its Redmi 2 smartphone and Mi Pad for the Indian market.
Both devices will be selling through e-commerce website Flipkart.
The Redmi 2 is priced at Rs 6,999, while the Mi Pad will be selling at a price of Rs 12,999 in the Indian smartphone market.
The Redmi 2 features a 4.7 inch HD display with 1280×720 pixel resolution and is protected by AGC Dragontrail glass.
It is powered by a quad core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1GB RAM. It supports dual SIM and has 4G connectivity. It also has OTG support.
The phone boasts an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera with 8GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
It is backed by a 2200mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 1.0 (charges 20 percent faster than Redmi 1S).
Mi Pad, on the other hand, comes with a 7.9-inch high-resolution display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a Quad-core 2.2GHz Nvidia Tegra K1 processor with 2GB RAM.
The tablet features an 8MP rear camera with a 5MP front facing camera. It has 16GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
The device offers transfer speeds of up to 876Mbps. It is powered by a 6700mAh Lithium-ion Polymer battery that offers up to 11 hours of video streaming, 17 hours of reading, 86 hours of music playback or 50 days on standby mode.
