Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mi A2 smartphone will debut in India. Notably, the phone has been recently launched in Spain. The company has already sent out the media invites for the launch event. The device will be unveiled on August 8 in the country. Meanwhile, reports suggest that the 4GB RAM and 32GB storage variant will not be launched in India.
Outside India, Xiaomi has unveiled the smartphone in three variants, 4GB + 32GB for 249 euros ( around Rs 20,000), while the 4GB + 64GB storage model costs 279 euros (around Rs 22,500). The top model, 6GB + 128GB storage has been set for the price of 349 euros (around Rs 28,000).
Xiaomi Mi A2 sports a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display with a 2160x1080p resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. The device runs on stock Android version of Android Oreo.
In terms of optics, the phone comes with a dual-rear camera with 12MP Sony IMX 486 sensor and a 20MP Sony IMX 376 sensor. The selfie camera bears a 20MP AI-focused sensor. The camera also has Google Lens support.
Xiaomi Mi A2 houses a 3010 mAh battery. It is expected to be available in blue, black and gold color options.
