Xiaomi Black Shark’s rival: Asus ROG gaming smartphone

ASUS ROG (Republic of Gamers) is expected to launch gaming smartphone on June 5 at Taiwan exhibition Computex event. The teaser of the alleged smartphone has been recently released by the company with the tagline “For those who dare” and “Unleash your creative power.” The device is expected to rival Xiaomi Black Shark and ZTE Nubia Red Magic.

The phone is likely to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor with the Adreno 630 GPU and 8GB RAM. It might run on the Android 8.1 Oreo OS out-of-box.

There is still a lot to confirm regarding the phone. One can expect the phone with the price tag of $500-$700.

Talking about Black Shark, it was launched in April this year.

The device features a 5.99-inch Full-HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a 2160×1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by the 2.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with Adreno 630 GPU.

The Black Shark priced at CNY 2999 (around Rs 31,000) for the 6GB RAM and CNY 3499  (around Rs 36,000) for the 8GB RAM variant with 64GB and 128GB internal storage respectively.
