Vivo Z1: Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 killer?

Vivo has recently launched the Vivo Z1 in China. Notably, Z1 is the first smartphone of the company’s Z series.

The phone falls in the mid-range category with the price tag of CNY 1,798 (around Rs. 19,000). Notably, Z1 is priced higher than Redmi Note 5. It is currently available for pre-orders via and will officially go on sale starting June 4.

The handset features a 6.26-inch full-HD+ display with a notch on the top, 19:9 aspect ratio and 1080×2280 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. The phone runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.0 out of the box.

In terms of camera, the smartphone sports a dual-rear camera with 13MP+2MP sensors. On the front, the device has a 12MP sensor with smart beauty and facial recognition feature.

It is worth mentioning that Vivo has also launched Vivo V9 in India recently. However, the company has not confirmed the launch of Z1 in the country.

The Vivo Z1 will be available in black, blue, and red color variants.  It carries a 3260mAh battery.  Stay tuned for more tech news and updates.
