Vivo Y53i launched in India: what is unique about it?

Vivo has launched the Vivo Y53i smartphone with Face Access in India. The device is priced at Rs 7,990 and will be available in Crown Gold and Matte Black color across all offline stores.

The Face Access feature embedded in the phone intelligently scans the facial features of the users and unlocks the device.

Commenting on the launch, Kenny Zeng, CMO, Vivo India said, “With the introduction of Y53i, we are strengthening our budget smartphone portfolio by delivering an outstanding camera and user experience at a competitive price point.”

The phone features a 5-inch qHD IPS display with a 960 x 540 pixels resolution. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 graphics. The device has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 256GB.

Y53i sports an 8MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0. The front facing camera is of 5MP with f/2.2 aperture lens. The handset also comes with the feature of Screen Flash. The budget smartphone carries a 2500mAh battery. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the top of FunTouch OS 3.0.
