Vivo launches Vivo V9 with an iPhone X-like notch in India

Vivo has launched the Vivo V9 in India on March 23. Notably, the launch soon comes after the unveiling of Vivo X21 on March 19.

It is also worth mentioning that the Chinese company has also launched the Vivo V9 in the Philippines on March 22.

The device sports a notched 6.3-inch FHD+ display, which makes it one of the few phones in India with notch screen. The display has 19:9 aspect ratio and 90% screen-to-body ratio.

It is powered by the GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor, clocked at 2.2 GHz, paired with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.

The handset comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box on the top of Funtouch 4.0 custom UI. It is available in champagne gold, Sapphire Blue, and, pearl black. It carries a 3,260mAh battery under the hood.

Talking about the optics, the rear dual camera of Vivo V9 features a 16MP+5MP sensors with f/2.0 and f/2.4 aperture respectively. The front facing camera is of 24MP with f/2.0 aperture and AI-based ‘Face Beauty’ mode. Notably, the phone also has AR stickers features, similar to Apple’s Animoji and Samsung’s AR Emoji.

Meanwhile, Vivo India has recently announced Amir Khan as their new ambassador replacing Ranveer Singh.

Vivo V9 is priced at 22,990 and available for pre-order on Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm and Vivo’s e-store.
