Vaio Phone with Android 5.0 launched in Japan

Vaio has launched its first smartphone in Japanese market. The Vaio Phone (VA-10J) smartphone has been priced at JPY 51,000. The device will go on sale from March 20th.

The smartphone features 5 inch HD IPS OGS display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.


The device boasts a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash and 5MP front camera. It has 16GB inbuilt storage further expandable up to  64GB via microSD card.

The phone is fuelled by a 2500mAh non-removable battery offering up to 13 hours of talk time and 500 hours of standby time.

It measures 141.5×71.3×7.95mm and weighs 130 grams. On the connectivity front it supports 4G LTE apart from Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB.

The phones will be available in just Black colour. The company has not provided any information about the global release of the device.
