Sony Xperia XZ2: A very expensive flagship

Sony has launched Xperia XZ2 is selective countries including India. The flagship is priced at a staggering Rs 72,990 in India.

Notably, XZ2 succeeds the Xperia XZ1 as the company’s latest flagship. It will be available for purchase from August 1 in select Sony Centre stores across the country.

The device features a 5.7-inch FHD+ Triluminos HDR display with 2160×1080 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The phone has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD card.

XZ2 runs on runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. It also has ARCore, Google’s development platform “ARCore” for building Augmented Reality (AR) apps. The smartphone also comes equipped with Google Lens that allows AI to recognize what the user has clicked using the camera.

Xperia XZ2 house a 3180mAh battery with the support of Qnovo Adaptive quick charging and wireless charging.

The handset sports a 19MP sensor with triple image sensing. The camera can record 4K HDR movies and super slow motion videos at 960 frames per second. The selfie camera has a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
