Samsung Galaxy S Light Luxury to take on OnePlus 6

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S8 Lite Luxury in China. The smartphone is said to be the Mini version of Galaxy S9. It comes with the Infinity Display and IP68 water resistant body at much cheaper prices compared to Galaxy S9.

Talking about the price, the handset is priced at the 4,000 CNY ($625) in China. It is available in Burgundy Red and Midnight Black color options. Galaxy S8 Lite Luxury is expected to compete with the OnePlus 6.

The device features a 5.8-inch FullHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 2220 x 1080 pixels and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy S Light Luxury sports a 16MP rear camera and an 8-megapixel camera on its front. It runs on the Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. The smartphone carries a 3,300mAh battery.

It is worth mentioning that Samsung is also launching Samsung Galaxy Wide 3 in South Korea on May 25. It is expected to fall in the entry-level smartphone segment.
