Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched alongside with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 in February in India. Since then, both the smartphones performed quite well in terms of sales in the country.
Meanwhile, Redmi Note 5 Pro is reported to get Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9.5. It is worth mentioning that the handset initially arrived with the MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat.
If reports are to be believed, the users are already getting an update on the MIUI 9.5 Global ROM. This update was announced by Xiaomi recently. On the other hand, Redmi Note 5 users started receiving MIUI 9.5 update last month.
However, the update has been also pulled off by Xiaomi since they are working on the bugs and are fixing the issues. Users have also complained about the issues they are facing with the latest update.
In terms of specifications, Redmi Note 5 Pro features a 5.99-inch full HD display and comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC. It has a single 64 GB storage variant but offers two 4GB and 6GB RAM options. In terms of camera, the phone sports a dual rear camera and it bears a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor on the front.
