Realme 1 launched in India, starting Rs 8,990

Oppo’s sub-brand Realme has launched the Realme 1 smartphone in India on May 15.

The handset will be available in three variants 3GB RAM+32GB internal storage (Diamond Black, Solar Red) for Rs 8,990, 4GB RAM+64GB internal storage (Moonlight Silver, Diamond Black)  for Rs 10,990 and 6GB RAM+128GB internal storage (Diamond Black, Solar Red ) for Rs 13,990.

Realme 1 will be exclusively available on Amazon from May 25, while the 4GB version will come in June.

Talking about the design, the smartphone comes with ‘glossy diamond-cut design’ on the back. It features a 6-inch full-HD+ display with 1080×2160 pixel resolution and an 84.75 percent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone is powered by the core MediaTek Helio P60 processor paired with the dual-core AI-specific chip.

T L Lee, General Manager, Wireless Communication Business, MediaTek, said: “With MediaTek’s Helio P60, Realme 1 has flagship features such as deep-learning facial detection, object and scene identification, fluid gaming experiences and smarter camera functions due to its NeuroPilot AI capabilities.”

The handset runs on the ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It carries a 13MP rear camera with AI Scene Recognition. On the front, the device has an 8MP sensor with AI Shot. Realme 1 also comes with AR Sticker feature.
