Panasonic rolls out face unlock feature for Eluga Ray 700

Panasonic has rolled out the face unlock feature for Eluga Ray 700 in India. The smartphone has received the feature through an over the air update (FOTA) for their existing and new users in India. The smartphone was earlier launched in September 2017.

According to the company, in order to enable the feature, the user needs to download the latest update and simply needs to access the ‘Face Unlock’ feature in Phone Settings menu. It is worth mentioning that Eluga Ray 700 also comes with a fingerprint sensor.

Talking about the specs and features, the smartphone comes with a 5.50-inch HD display with 1080 by 1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by the by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6753 SoC coupled with paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Eluga Ray 700 sports a 13 MP Sony IMX 258 rear camera with phase detection auto focus (PDAF) and a 13 MP front camera with flash. Furthermore, it runs on the Android 7.0 and carries a 5000mAh non-removable battery.

The smartphone is priced at Priced at Rs.9999.
