Panasonic launches Toughbook FZ-T1 for the enterprise segment

Panasonic has announced a new device of its Toughbook series, FZ-T1. The company calls the device ‘handheld’ instead of a smartphone.

For those who don’t know, Panasonic’s Toughbook series is known for its durability or rugged devices. The phone is said to be made for the enterprise segment, like- retail sector.

The FZ-T1 comes with two variant options, one featuring Wi-Fi and another one with Wi-Fi and 4G capabilities, priced at GBP 1,142 (around Rs. 1,03,000) and GBP 1,214 (approx Rs. 1,09,500) respectively. Notably, Wi-Fi and 4G voice and data model will available in September 2018. The company is also providing a standard 3-year warranty with the devices.

The Pansonic Toughbook FZ-T1 features a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels. The screen also comes with Glove and Rain modes. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8009 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage with an expandable option. The smartphone is IP68 water-resistant which can withstand a temperature of minimum 10 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 50 degrees Celsius.

The Panasonic FZ-T1 packs a 3200mAh battery.
