HMD Global backed Nokia is all set to launch the Nokia X5 or Nokia 5.1 Plus in China on July 11. The event will be held at 8 PM local time. Nokia has announced the launching on its Weibo account. It is worth noting that the Nokia X5’s global variant is likely to be called the Nokia 5.1 Plus.
The upcoming device is reported to be passed the TENAA certification in China.
Nokia X5 or Nokia 5.1 Plus is tipped to feature a 5.86-inch HD+ display with a notch, 720 x 1520 pixels, and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It might be powered by a MediaTek P60 processor, paired with 3GB or 4GB RAM. The device is expected to run on Android P operating system of the box.
In terms of optics, the smartphone could sport a dual rear setup with 13MP+5MP sensors. It is expected to house a 3000mAh battery.
Talking about the price, the handset might cost around CNY 799 (around Rs 8,200) for the 32GB model and CNY 999 (approx Rs 10,400) for the 64GB variant.
Meanwhile, if reports are to be believed, Nokia X6 might launch in India on July 19. The phone was earlier launch in China in May.
