Nokia 1 Android Oreo Go launched in India at Rs 5,499

HMD backed-Nokia has launched the budget smartphone, Nokia 1 in India.

The smartphone was earlier announced at MWC 2018. The phone runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition, which makes it few smartphones in the country with this OS. Notably, Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition is specially designed for smartphones with 1GB RAM or less.

The handset is priced at Rs 5,499. The device is available in warm red and dark blue color options. The user can also buy Xpress On two-tone polycarbonate exchangeable covers to change the looks of the phone for Rs 450 each.

Nokia 1 sports a 4.5-inch IPS display with 480×854 resolution. It is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M SoC paired with 1GB RAM.  Smartphones feature 8GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 128 GB.

In terms of camera, the smartphone marks a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The entry-level device carries a 2150 mAh battery.
