Microsoft Surface Phone’s hardware with foldable design is ready

Microsoft Surface Phone is a long-rumored smartphone. Since the past couple of years, the company is reported to be working on the device. If recent reports are to be believed, the hardware of the phone is ready with the foldable design and final prototypes. However, the work on the OS is currently going on as per the reports.

Surface Phone is said to rival iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S-series smartphones. Notably, Microsoft has currently no phone in the market.

Rumors suggest that the company’s new patents application talks about “live hinge” which might be aimed at the company’s foldable smartphone. The hinge will help the smartphone to rotate at 360 degrees.

Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella has earlier said that the company wants to make the “best phone ever.” Presumably, it means Microsoft is not in the hurry to launch Surface Phone.  There are no updates regarding the launch of the phone yet.

Talking about specs and features, Microsoft Surface Phone is likely to sport OLED display and might run on the Andromeda OS. In terms of processor, the flagship might be powered by Snapdragon 845 chip.
