LG X2, a budget smartphone, launched in South Korea

LG has announced the LG X2 in South Korea. The smartphone falls in the budget smartphone category. The phone is priced at KRW 198,000 (around Rs. 12,200), which is clearly quite high for the entry-level smartphones.

The device will be available to buy via telecom operators and e-commerce sites.

The LG X2 features a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The phone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card. Furthermore, the device runs on the Android 7.1.2 Nougat.

In terms of optics, the handset bears an 8MP rear sensor with LED flash. There is a 5MP sensor on the front with an Auto Shot feature, which can recognize faces while taking a selfie. The phone also comes with Quick Share feature for sharing the images instantly.

The LG X2 carries a 2500mAh battery.

The company has not announced the launch of the phone in India. In case the handset launches in India, one can expect its price much lower than the price of the phone in South-Korea.
