LAVA has unveiled the new Iris X5 at a price of Rs 8,799. The device is a successor of Iris X1. The device vendor claims that the new smartphone is a blend of high quality camera and design.
LAVA Iris X5 is a dual SIM smartphone, targeted at the youths and selfie enthusiasts.
The highlight of the Iris X5 is a 5MP front camera for selfies with flash, Auto-Focus, Omni BSI+ Camera Sensor and 84° wide angle lens. It has a 8MP rear camera.
The device sports a 5 Inch 720×1280 px display, IPS LCD screen and is 71.5mm wide and 7.7 mm thick for easy handling.
It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor coupled with 1 GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.
The device has an internal storage of 8GB which can be extended up to 32GB via Micro SD card.
On the connectivity front it has 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v3.0 and micro- USB v2.0.It offers OTG support.
It is fueled by a 2100mAh Li-ion battery with a long back up for multimedia payback, talk-time and stand-by.

Iris X5 will be available in two color variants as Grey and white and black in the coming weeks. The phone comes with an intelligent Flip cover powered by hall sensor that puts the phone automatically in sleep mode ensuring reduced battery consumption.
Users can purchase the smartphone from all national retail stores and major outlets. Iris X5 will be exclusively available on Amazon.in bundled with a free 16GB memory card on 1st September 14.
