Transsion Holdings backed Itel has unveiled the Itel A62 in India. The budget smartphone is priced at Rs. 7,499. One can buy the device in Black, Champagne, and Red color options. The company offers the phone with 100-days replacement warranty.
The handset sports a 5.65-inch HD+ IPS full-view display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It has no physical button on the front. The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6739WA SoC. The phone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. The handset carries a 3000mAh battery.
Optics wise, Itel A62 sports dual-rear camera setup with 13MP+ VGA sensors with face beauty, portrait mode, bokeh mode, and panorama mode. The VGA camera may be a drawback of the phone. The selfie camera has s 5MP sensor with face unlock feature.
Notably, the company has also launched Itel S42, A44, and A44 Pro recently in the country. The smartphone also falls in the budget category. It clearly shows that the Chinese company is focusing on the entry-level smartphone segment in India.
