Huawei ships 200 million smartphones in 2018

Huawei announced that its smartphone shipments have exceeded 200 million units in the year 2018 – driven by the demand for Huawei P20 and Mate 20 series.

Nearly 8 million female users have purchased Huawei P20 series. Shipments of Huawei P20 series have exceeded 16 million units since its release in March.

The company shipped over 5 million units Huawei Mate 20 series.

Huawei’s nova series has been popular with young users. The company sold over 65 million units of nova series as of the end of 2018.

At present, more than 500 million consumers in more than 170 countries are using Huawei smartphones.

“Huawei’s consumer business will focus on the core concept of consumer-centric, and will dare to keep innovating, and make every effort to become a pioneer and leader in the next wave of the smartphone revolution,” Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer BG, said.
