Samsung, the second largest smartphone brand in India, has launched the Galaxy A9 smartphone with a retail price tag of Rs 36,999 for fans.
While the retail price of the base model of Samsung Galaxy A9 is Rs 36,999, the 8GB model will cost Rs 39,999.
Amazon India, Flipkart, Airtel’s online store and Samsung’s e-store will be taking orders for pre-booking from today. Samsung will start shipping Galaxy A9 smartphone from November 28.
Galaxy A9 has four cameras stacked vertically at the top-corner of the rear panel. The first sensor is an ultra-wide sensor with 120-degree field of view, f/2.4 aperture, and 8-megapixel resolution. The second sensor is a telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom, f/2.4 aperture and 10-megapixel resolution.
The third sensor is the main camera with 24-megapixel resolution and f/1.7 aperture. The fourth sensor is the depth camera with 5-megapixel resolution and f/2.2 aperture.
Galaxy A9’s four-camera setup aims to deliver photos with clarity, sharpness and depth. The latest smartphone from Samsung has 24-megapixel camera for selfies.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor is powering Galaxy A9. It features a 6.28-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display. It has Android Oreo, 3,800mAh battery and Face Unlock and a rear fingerprint sensor for security.
Samsung India has shipped 9.6 million smartphones for 22.6 percent share in Q3 2018, said research firm IDC. Samsung shipped 9.2 million smartphones in Q3 2017. Xiaomi shipped 11.7 million in Q3 2018 vs 9.2 million in Q3 2017.
