Asus has recently launched the ZenFone 5Z in India. The phone is said to be the OnePlus 6’s competition in the South Asian country. In terms of price, 5Z is cheaper than its competitor.
The smartphone costs Rs. 29,999 for 6GB RAM/ 128GB internal storage variant, Rs. 32,999 for 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model, and Rs. 36,999 for 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage variant. On the other hand, the price of OnePlus starts at Rs. 34,999 for its base variant.
The ZenFone 5Z will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting July 9. One can buy the phone at Rs. 3,000 discount on ICICI credit and debit cards.
Asus ZenFone 5Z Specs and features
Asus ZenFone 5Z features a 6.2-inch full-HD+ Super IPS+ display with 1080×2246 pixels and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with an Adreno 630 GPU. The user can expand the storage up to 2TB via microSD card. The device runs on ZenUI 5.0 on top of Android 8.0.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. Asus ZenFone 5Z houses a 3300mAh with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
In terms of optics, the handset has a dual camera at the back with 12MP Sony IMX363 primary sensor featuring f/1.8 aperture, and a secondary 8MP OmniVision 8856 sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera also comes with OIS support. On the front, the device sports the same 8MP OmniVision 8856 sensor with the Face Unlock feature.
In the performance, display and camera department, the battle between Asus ZenFone 5Z and OnePlus 6 is really close. However, OnePlus 6 has a bit of edge over its rival in terms of design.
