Airtel cuts 4G Hotspot price to compete with JioFi M2S

BhartiAirtel has cut the price of its 4G Hotspot with the latest price tag of Rs 999. India’s largest telecommunications services provider was offering the device prior the cut at Rs.1,500.

As per the company, the customers will soon be able to buy the hotspot on Amazon India. They can also buy the product at all leading Airtel retail stores across the country.


Users can connect their smartphones, laptops, tablets, and other smart gadgets to connect to the 4G network with the help of the said device. The dongle offers great portability and on the go connectivity. It can connect to up to 10 devices at a point in time with at least 6-hours of battery backup.

Overall, it is a gadget which offers great convenience and flexibility with protected network, as per the company. AjaiPuri, COO of BhartiAirtel said, “At Airtel, our endeavour is to deliver great value to our customers backed by a superior network experience.”

Users must have an Airtel 4G SIM to use the device. Meanwhile, The company is offering a wide range of Postpaid and Prepaid plans. Airtel has 4G services in 22 telecom circles of the country. According to the company, in case the 4G network of the company is not available at a certain place, the 4G Hotspot automatically switches to the 3G network.

The move by the company might be a step to counter Reliance Jio’s 4G dongle, JioFi M2S, which is also available at the price of Rs. 999.
