Gionee phone Elife E6 costs Rs 22,999: Any good feature?

Though we never suggested Micromax smartphones for innovation, the home grown phone company reached the top position due to its pricing. Main specifications of Micromax phones usually match the price. Gionee phone Elife E6 costs Rs 22,999. But its specifications are not in line with the huge price.

One may feel that several smartphone vendors launch devices at a premium price and later lower the rate to address market demand. Also, we started seeing phone vendors talking about their market budget during the phone launch. They talk about 360 degree marketing plans.

These companies miss innovations. They do not even try to bring an innovative design to market. Usually, these are copy of established phones. One will find that Gionee smartphone Elife E6 does not have any innovative feature. You have seen these tech specifications in a Micromax Canvas 4 or Sony Xperia or HTC phones.

But Gionee phone Elife E6 has a price. Take a look at the specifications. This article is based on journalist who has accessed the phone and specifications shared by Gionee which claims that it started selling its phones in the market successfully.

They do not share how many smartphones they are selling in the market and the number of service centers it has in India. These are primary concerns for any new smartphone user.

The company claims that 1.5 GHz Quad Core Processor offers lightning speed. Then, what will be the processing speed of 2 GHz quad core processors. Many users may not find local phones with 1.5 GHz for Rs 22,999. When I say local phones, I mean devices from non-established players.

Gionee earlier used a word called lighning fast for 1.5 GHz Quad Core Processor that powers Elife E6.

The next catchy word is stunning. The 5-inch FHD LTPS Screen at 441 PPi with Gorilla glass class 3 is not stunning to catch the attraction of smartphone users. Gorilla glass class 3 does not bring everything to attract. It has become an old technology to catch users.

Android Jelly Bean v4.2 with Amigo Interface is the OS that supports Elife E6. There’s no word from the company when they will update the latest smartphone with the new Android version.

Elife E6 has a number of well known features. Features like Guest Mode, Ignore incoming call without disconnecting call, Live Weather, Smart Gesture, motion sensing dialing, etc. are copy of other phones.

As mentioned by a user recently, camera varies. Quality of 10MP camera with device A and B may be different. Hence, one should not just opt for the sharp and astonishing ( at least Gionee calls it) 13 MP Auto Focus Full HD rear camera made from 2nd Generation BSI technology and 5 MP front camera. It is time for users to access this kind of phones before selecting.

Elife E6 has additional features including Face beauty effects, Hands free Photos Gesture recognition, motion sensing, Panorama(Horizontal & Vertical), Eraser, face detection, MAV, geo tagging, Best Shot and touch focus enabling a superior picture capturing experience. Yes, you have seen these features in the recently launched phones in India.

If the phone is coming with 2GB RAM and 32 GB in-built memory, the price should be less than Rs 20,000.

Earlier, smartphones used to sell because of its app range. Users do not look at apps now. Apps are a must in a smartphone.

Elife E6 is powered with a 2000 mAh battery to provide a long lasting standby time along with the most Intelligent power control system.

Heartbeat Synchronizing, according to Gionee, enables the system to synchronize the wake up applications thus running the ensuring the high efficiency of processor with low power consumption. I am not sure about the freshness of this innovation as well.
