Rohit Ghai, director, Wiio Mobiles, told GizmoLead.com that the company will be launching two more smartphones in the coming months.
The upcoming phones will be priced at between Rs 8,000 to 15,000. The company is also planning to enter the 4G LTE segment soon. Recently, Xiaomi and Lenovo announced their 4G phones for the Indian market. At present, India has two 4G operators – Bharti Airtel and Aircel. Reliance Jio is likely to launch 4G this year.
Wiio Mobiles will not be opting for flash sales like other leading smartphone brands. But the company aims to sell the product in a short period of time.
eBay India will also be the exclusive partner for the sales of company’s upcoming smartphones.
Several smartphone start-ups are looking for online presence to sell their devices. This has caused service related issues to consumers. Most of these phone companies do not have adequate service centers in India. India has around 900 million mobile subscriber base.
“We are confident that Wiio WI Star 3G will enthuse all gadget savvy customers on ebay logging on from over 4,500 cities, towns and villages in India and 206 countries across the globe,” said Vidmay Naini, director eBay India.
