Micromax partners with Flipkart to launch Canvas Xpress

Micromax has partnered with the e-commerce channel Flipkart to launch its Canvas Xpress smartphone. The device will be available for Flipkart customers at a price of Rs 6,999.

With this exclusive collaboration, Micromax will be able to reach out to more the 26 million registered users of Flipkart.com. The phone will go on sale starting December 8.

The Canvas Xpress sports a 4.5 inch FWVGA display and has metallic edge body. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor coupled with 1GB RAM.

It runs on Android KitKat 4.4 OS and has dual SIM functionalities. The phone boasts a 5MP rear camera with auto focus and a 0.3 MP front camera with expandable memory of 32GB.

It is backed up by a 1950 mAh battery and include features such as Smart Wake, which allows users open their favorite apps through customized gestures and access apps directly from the locked screen.

The HotKnot enables the user to transfer data with just a single tap.

The company is also offering free data worth 500MB per month for the first 6 months for Aircel users.

The phone will come with preloaded apps such as Hike, Clean Master, BookMyShow, Truecaller, Opera Mini, Yatra, MAd and pre loaded games like Grow Away, Marbles and Giga Jump.
