Intex has announced the launch of Aqua Power. The device is priced at Rs 8,444. The smartphone will be available at mobile handset retail outlets starting today.
The smartphone packs a 5 inch IPS display and FWVGA screen resolution of 854×480 pixels with a free screen breakage insurance for one year. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6592M processor coupled with 1GB RAM.

The device sports an 8MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash for better low light photography. It also has 2 MP front facing camera for video calling.
The Intex Aqua Power has 8 GB internal storage capacity which can be further extended up to 32 GB via micro SD card.

The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and on the connectivity front it has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and USB OTG with a pedometer and support for GPS.
The device is fuelled up by a 400mAh battery that claims to last at least two days.

The phone will be available in White, Black, Blue and Grey colour options. Users will also have the Hungama App preloaded, which will allow users to enjoy 30 days of unlimited audio and video access from its catalog library.
The large battery life of the Intex Aqua Power makes it unique from other smartphones in the same price bracket.
Smartphones such as Micromax Canvas Power A96 or Celkon Millennium Power Q3000 can challenge the Intex Aqua Power in case of battery life.
Intex is also planning to launch its 4G smartphone in the first half of next year. Availability of cost effective 4G handsets will improve the uptake of LTE services across the country.
