Smartphone vendor HTC announced the appointment of Faisal Siddiqui as the new regional president of South Asia.
South Asia region includes India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and emerging markets in Asia.
Faisal, who is currently VP and head of India for HTC, grew market share in India since 2011. In the new role, Faisal will lead HTC South Asia and strengthen HTC’s position as one of the market leaders in the region.
HTC said Jack Yang, current president of South Asia, will be leaving HTC for personal reasons and will move into an advisory role during this transition.
