Recently Huawei launched its flagship smartphone, the Honor 6. It is the world’s first Octa-core 4G CAT6 smartphone. The device is priced at Rs 19,999 selling through e-commerce website.
The Honor 6 offers more than its price and is most likely to give tough competition to other flagship smartphones.
Priced at Rs 19,999 Honor 6 offers specifications similar to smartphones such as Samsung GalaxyS5, HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2 and Moto X which fall under the Rs 30000- Rs 40000 price bracket.

Honor 6 sports a 5 inch in-cell JDI screen full HD. The Moto X has a 5.2 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, Galaxy S5 has a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen whereas HTC M8 boasts a Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen and Xperia Z2 5.2 inch IPS LCD touchscreen.
Honor 6 has the maximum PPI with 445 pixels compared to Moto X’s 424 pixels, Galaxy S5’s 432 pixels, M8’s 441 pixels and Xperia Z2’s 424 pixels.
When it comes to connectivity, Honor 6 has both 3G as well as 4G, but none of its competitors has a 4G connectivity.
Honor 6 is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octacore Kirin 920 processor making it the only Octa-core 4G CAT6 smartphone. Moto X, Galaxy S5 and HTC M8 are powered by a 2.5GHz Quadcore Snapdragon 801. The Xperia Z2 has the 2.3 GHz quadcore processor.
Both Honor 6 and Xperia Z2 are backed up by 3GB RAM, which is higher than Moto X, Galaxy S5 and HTC M8 which have 2GB RAM.
Like the Moto X, Galaxy S5 and HTC M8, the Honor 6 also comes with 16/32 GB internal storage option whereas Xperia Z2 has only 16GB of internal storage.
The Galaxy S5, HTC M8 and Xperia Z2 can have 128 GB of expandable storage via Micro SD card and Honor 6 can be expanded to 64GB, whereas the Moto X does not have a Micro SD card slot.
The Honor 6 has superior cooling system with Aluminium alloy structure plus Panasonic graphites and side cooling tech. On the other hand its competitors does not have any cooling system.
Talking about the camera, Honor 6 boasts a 13MP with dual LED flash same as the Moto X, but Galaxy S5 has a 16MP camera and HTC M8 has a dual 4MP rear camera. The Xperia Z2 has the best 20.7MP rear camera with LED flash.
But in case of the front facing camera, Honor 6 has the lead as it sports a 5MP front camera with 10 face-enhancements. The Moto X and Galaxy S5 have 2MP front camera. The Xperia Z2 has a 2.2 MP camera and HTC M8 boasts a 5MP front camera but has no enhancement feature.
The Honor 6 can click pictures with sound and has a unique feature called the ultra-fast snapshot which takes only 0.6 seconds to click a picture, whereas its competitors does not have any of these features.
Honor 6 is also ahead in case of the battery. It is fueled by a 3100mAh battery with SmartPower 2.0 (upto 30% power saving technology). On the other hand Moto X has 2300 Li-ion battery, Galaxy S5 has a 2800mAh battery, HTC M8 has a Li-ion 2600mAh battery and the Xperia Z2 is juiced by a 3200mAh battery.
Honor 6 is also lighter as it weighs only 130gms compared to 144gms Moto X, 145gms Galaxy S5, 160gms HTC M8 and 163gms Xperia Z2.
