Gionee has launched the slimmest smartphone ever in India market. the device is priced at Rs 18,999. It will go on sale in the first week of December.
The design of the phone is similar to Elife S5.5 and also has both glass and metal materials. It will be available in white, black, blue and pink colour options.
The new smartphone features a 4.8 inch 720p AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor paired with 1 GB RAM.

The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 with Gionee’s Amigo 2.0 UI on the top. The device also has 4G LTE connectivity.
The Elife S5.1 boasts an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera with 16GB of internal storage but does not support microSD card.
The phone does not have a 3.5mm headset port and uses a micro-USB adapter for audio output.

Gionee’s Elife S5.5 was considered the world’s slimmest smartphone before the launch of Oppo R5, which measures just 4.85mm in thickness.
It is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa core 64bit processor and 2GB RAM, the phone sports a 5.2-inch full-HD AMOLED display. It comes with 16GB internal storage.
Gionee also announced the V6L LTE and the P5L LTE smartphones in India. The V6L LTE is the slimmest of all LTE phones.
It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The phone boasts a 5 inch display and dual SIM capabilities. The V6L LTE smartphone will be selling at a price of Rs 15,000.
Whereas the Gionee P5L LTE runs Android OS, v4.4 (KitKat) and sports an 5MP rear camera with 8GB internal memory and T-card Up to 128GB.
Other features include LTE connectivity, and 1800 mAh battery. The device is priced at Rs 10,000.
