Gionee announces V6L and P5L smartphones in the LTE segment

Gionee has announced the V6L LTE and the P5L LTE smartphones in India. The P4S and P6 smartphones were also announced parallel to the LTE smartphones.

The company also showcased the Gionee ELIFE S5.1 and S5.5 LTE devices from its S Series. Gionee announced that from 2015 onwards all the devices above Rs. 10,000 will be LTE enabled.

Gionee V6L LTE

The V6L LTE with a 6.9mm thickness is the slimmest of all LTE phones. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

The device has 1GB RAM and has a internal storage of 8GB and T-card Up to 128GB. It features a 8MP rear camera, LTE connectivity, and 1950 mAh battery and DTS.

The smartphone comes with the new PPT mode where user can take pictures instead of notes and motion control where users just need to flip to mute or snooze the phone.

The phone boasts a 5 inch display and dual SIM capabilities. The V6L LTE smartphone will be selling at a price of Rs 15,000.

Gionee P5L LTE

The P5L LTE  enable a user to works 5-30times faster than 3G networks. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor paired with 1 GB RAM.

It runs on Android OS, v4.4 (KitKat) and sports an 5MP rear camera with 8GB internal memory and T-card Up to 128GB.

Other features include LTE connectivity, and 1800 mAh battery. The device is priced at Rs 10,000.

Gionee ELIFE S5.1

The phone has a metallic frame and glass body and donning a 5.1mm thickness. It is similar to Elife S5.5 flagship.

The smartphone sports a 4.8″ AMOLED display of 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.7GHz Octa Core processor supported by 1GB of RAM.

The device boasts a 8MP rear camera with 16GB non-expandable storage. It runs on   Android 4.4 with Gionee’s Amigo 2.0 UI. Other features include LTE connectivity, and 2050 mAh battery.

Gionee P4S

The phone comes with a window flip which enables the phone to show weather, date and time in the flip window. The phone can be flipped to light up display and cover to power off. The handset has a semi transparent shell with rounded corners.


Gionee P6 comes with 5 inch FWVGA multi touch screen and semi transparent coating gives an elegant feel and the phone comes in an affordable price and a well-crafted design.

The company also launched the Marathon M3 last week in the Indian smartphone market. The phones is available at a price of Rs 13,999.

The Marathon M3 which promises 32.46hr(3G) and 51hr (2G) of talk time and 32.8 days of standby time.

The smartphone sports a 5 inch HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor coupled with 1GB RAM.

It is a dual SIM smartphone and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The phone boast a 8MP rear camera with auto focus and a 2MP front camera.

The internal storage of the Marathon M3 is 8GB and can be expanded to 128GB. Connectivity options include  WIFI/GPS/FM/OTG.
