Flipkart lists Google Nexus 6 as “coming soon”

Google Nexus 6 has been listed on the e-commerce website, Flipkart. Nexus 6 is Google’s next flagship smartphone. Flipkart has not mentioned the price of the device.

Google announced the smartphone last month and is built and designed by Motorola. The phone resembles in design with the new generation Moto X.

The Nexus boasts a 6 inch QHD display with  2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. It features dual front-facing stereo speakers, and a brushed aluminium body.

The device is powered by a 2.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor paired with 3GB RAM. The device will come in 32GB and 64GB variants.

The variant listed on Flipkart has 32GB storage. Nexus 6 will be the first to feature Android 5.0 Lollipop, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system.

The smartphone has a 13MP rear camera with dual LED ring flash and a 2MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS and 4G.

Google’s Nexus 5 smartphone was first listed on the Play Store and even Google’s forthcoming tablet Nexus 9 has been listed on the play Store with a ‘coming soon’ tag.

But, the Nexus 6 has not been listed on the Play Store yet. Motorola exclusively sells its devices on Flipkart so it’s possible that the company will sell the Nexus 6 only on Flipkart.

Motorola has stated that Nexus 6 will be available with the company’s partners starting in November and that the phone will come to 28 countries, including India.

In U.S. the 32GB version sells at $649 and the 64GB variant is priced at $699.

Earlier Google announced its highly anticipated mobile OS, Android 5.0 Lollipop. The latest OS will be available on Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Nexus 4, 5, 7, 10 and Google Play edition devices.

According to Google, Lollipop is the largest, most ambitious release on Android with over 5,000 new APIs for developers.

Android 5.0 Lollipop has a new battery saver feature that extends the life of device by up to 90 minutes. It also features multiple user accounts and guest user mode for keeping user’s personal stuff private.
