BlackBerry India is set to launch BlackBerry Classic smartphone on 15 January targeting Indian mobile phone users across the country.
BlackBerry India has invited select media to announce its latest offerings. The press invitation does not specifically talk about the Classic launch.

BlackBerry Classic was launched in some of the global mobile markets in December 2014. The latest smartphone from the Canadian phone maker promises the following:

# 50 percent longer battery life

BlackBerry Classic, which features the BlackBerry 10.3.1 operating system, has a physical QWERTY keyboard. BlackBerry Classic looks like BlackBerry Bold 9900.
The BlackBerry Classic has 3.5-inch touch screen display, 294 dpi HD resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and large battery offering up to 22 hours of battery power.
BlackBerry Classic features 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of device storage (expandable by up to 128GB via uSD), and 2MP front camera and 8MP rear camera with enhanced optics and upgraded imaging sensors.
