ASUS Zenfone 4 upgrades to Android 4.4 KitKat OS

ASUS has announced the firmware update for upgrading Zenfone 4 to Android 4.4 KitKat.  The update features updates in ZenUI, log system, phone and messaging features, Camera and photo editing and in numerous other applications.

“The Kitkat update and other additional interesting features will further redefine user’s experience with their Zenfones.” said Peter Chang, regional head, ASUS India.

After the update, Zenfone will have detailed change in log system. This includes an introduction of Do Not Disturb mode and Customizable applications in Quick Tool Box.

The extended ASUS ZenUI Launcher will now have the missed calls, unread e-mails and unread messages from VIP contacts now be displayed.

While using the camera and editing photo an option for Image Stabilization will appear automatically when hand shaking is detected.

Zenfone 4 will also have enhanced display in landscape mode on phones and tablets and has added MicroFilm feature wherein users can add video rotation function.

Users can now have Data Transfer – Data migration assistance to easily transfer user data from other mobile devices to Zen Devices with additional PC Link and Remote Link.

The FM Radio will now auto scan local radio stations, manual frequency input, added support for– Program Service & Radio Text of RDS”.

Zenfone 4 will have support for 24-hour time format, User-adjustable widget transparency, Swipe to skip cards and Quick Action Button to what’s next notification.

ASUS presently has 4 variants of Zenfone Series which have received a good response from the Indian Market. The company is constantly acting in order to meet the demand and also to cater to all their requirements with the firmware updates, the company stated.
