ASUS has announced its Zenfone C smartphone in India. It will be selling at a price of Rs 5,999. India is one of the first country for the launch.

The device comes with a one year warranty. The battery claims to deliver up to 29.8 hours of 3G talk time and up to 260 hours of standby.
The Zenfone C uses the SonicMaster technology for enhanced mobile-audio experiences. The ASUS AudioWizard app with ICEpower technology helps the users to shape the sound for every environment.
The phone is available in three different colours of red, white and black. Priced at Rs 5,999, the phone will be selling through e-commerce website Flipkart.
In January, the company also slashed the price of Zenfone 5 to Rs 7,999.
The Zenfone C has a new 1.2GHz Intel CloverTrail processor while the ZenFone 5 features an Intel Atom Multi-Core 1.2 GHz Z2520 processor.
Zenfone 5 comes with with Intel Hyper-Threading technology and 8GB EMMC + 2GB RAM, whereas the Zenfone C uses quad-thread Hyper-Threading Technology.
The ASUS ZenFone 5 features 5-inch IPS panel with HD 1280 x 720-pixel resolution which is higher than the 4.5 inch 480 x 854 pixels FWVGA TN Panel.
The Zenfone 5 has an 8MP PixelMaster main camera with image stabilization, while the new Zenfone has a 5 MP rear camera.
The new Zenfone C can be a good choice for first time smartphone buyers as it has essential features and is also affordable.
