Ricoh up in arms against e-commerce portals

Ricoh India on Tuesday said e-commerce portals selling SP 111 series laser printer and A4 MFP will not be supported by the company.

Issuing an advisory cautioning to the current and potential consumers of Ricoh SP 111 series laser printer and A4 MFP, Ricoh said the company has not authorized sales of SP 111 and SP 111SU models on any e-commerce websites such as Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon, Infibeam and Shopclues.


Any such sales are considered as unauthorized and illegal in the nature. Ricoh would void the warranty for such sales / purchases, said Ricoh India.

This apart, Ricoh India does not guarantee the authenticity of this models purchased from such e-commerce sites in terms of its quality, specifications, price and performance.

“We would like to encourage our customers to check the partner authorization and warranty entitlements while purchasing online,” Ricoh India said.
