Google has released the latest version of Android, 8.0 Oreo in August last year. Google smartphones were the first to sport the latest version of the OS including Pixel 2, Google Pixel 2 XL, Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5 X and Nexus Player. Notably, Oreo’s 8.1 version is also out and running on a few other devices.
The tech giant is reportedly all set to roll-out Android Oreo for Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8. Samsung has recently completed the Android Oreo beta testing programme. Few mid-range smartphones of Samsung are also in the line to feature Oreo. Meanwhile, the company’s upcoming flagship, Galaxy S9 is likely to come up with Android Oreo out of the box.
The company has confirmed the smartphones, which will get the Android Oreo. These devices are Xperia XZ, Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZs Xperia X, Xperia X Performance, Xperia X Compact, Xperia XA1, Xperia XA1 Ultra, and Xperia XA1 Plus.
The company’s Mi A1 already received to Oreo update. However, Xiaomi’s numbers of smartphones are still waiting to receive the update. The firm is currently inviting users to check out the new Oreo-based MIUI ROM for certain devices.
Nokia 8 is already running on the Android 8.0 Oreo, While Nokia 2, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are yet to receive the latest version of Android.
