Chinese smartphone vendor ZTE is flexing its muscle at the CES 2014, which is traditionally dominated by European and American device makers.
There are several devices to be demonstrated at the gadgets show in January.
ZTE Sonata 4G smartphone will be one of the main attractions at the CES 2014.
The company in a statement said Grand S II flagship smartphone will be one of the devices to be showcased at CES 2014.
ZTE will also showcase the nubia5S and nubia 5S mini devices. Recently, ZTE received overwhelming response from Chinese mobile phone users for these devices.
The larger nubia 5S features a five-inch Sharp 1080p FHD display, a 13 MP camera with a Sony RS sensor, F2,0 aperture, DSLR-like photo options, and 4K Ultra HD video capture, while the nubia 5S mini features a 4.7-inch Sharp IGZO display and comes in an array of colorful finishes.
The company will be announcing more details later. Recently, ZTE reshuffled its top management focusing on mobile devices, enterprise and telecom equipments.
ZTE’s 4G smartphone ZTE Sonata 4G will be announced in partnership with Aio Wireless. The ZTE Sonata 4G features Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.4 GHz Dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 5 MP camera with flash, capable of 720p video capture, 4-inch display and 1780mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the Chinese phone vendor will launch its first Iconic phablet. This device features a smart viewer that allows two applications to be simultaneously displayed on the screen, and it’s equipped with a dual-core processor, and a 5.7” HD screen complete with Gorilla Glass, Dolby Digital Sound and a wireless charging feature.
ZTE, as part of strengthening presence among enterprises, has also developed a mini projector and Wi-Fi hotspot all-in-one, the Projector Hotspot. This device is targeted for streaming and sharing visual content whether you’re in the office, at home (inside or outside) or in the classroom. With its compact size, the unit can provide 4G access for up to eight clients simultaneously.
The company said BlueWatch, ZTE’s first smart watch, will also be available at the CES 2014. The ZTE smartwatch features a built-in pedometer, and records and analyzes data around the clock, giving users access to interesting quantified self information like body fat percentage.
ZTE is working with American telecom operator AT&T to develop the AT&T Wireless Home Base device, which allows users to connect their home telephone to the AT&T wireless network, and enjoy unlimited local and long distance calling for $20 per month.
