Microsoft to enter wearable market with Smartwatch

Microsoft is planning to foray into the wearable market with its smartwatch that gauges heart rate, Forbes has reported.

The device can be aligned with iPhones, Android phones and Windows Phones. Microsoft’s Xbox Kinect division will provide the optical engineering expertise to the smartwatch and it will measure heart rate continuously.

The report said that the smartphone would look alike like Samsung’s Gear Fit but will be advancement to the fitness tracker. It will be a full-color touch screen and will be embedded on the inside of the wearer’s wrist.

Samsung, Sony and Apple are major players in the segment. This move will give a tough competition to Microsoft.
