LG to add Knock feature in L Series II smartphone in Jan

Devices vendor LG Electronics will add the KnockON feature, a convenient way to turn the smartphone on and off by tapping twice on the display, in its L Series II smartphones in January.

KnockON will also be a standard feature in the company’s key mobile devices in the future, LG said in a statement on Sunday.

L Series II smartphones will receive KnockON through a global maintenance release upgrade starting in January 2014.

LG introduced KnockON feature in 2012 in LG G2 as a convenient way to turn the smartphone on and off by tapping twice on the display since the power button was located on the back of the phone.

The device vendor added KnockON in LG G Pad 8.3 tablet and G Flex curved smartphone.
