Lenovo to launch K900 smartphone in India on June 5?

Lenovo will launch new smartphone series in India on June 5 in Delhi.

The company did not disclose more details on the smartphone series. Recently, Lenovo started rolling out K900 premium smartphone in Asia.

Lenovo says the Chinese company is investing more than ever in innovation that differentiates our products and sets the standard for quality, reliability, style and speed. Innovation in Smartphones is a very important part of our PC+ focus and Lenovo is betting big on the Indian market.

At a press meet on Wednesday, Milko Van Duijl, senior VP, Lenovo; JD Howard, VP, MIDH Business Operations and Worldwide Business Development, Lenovo; Nick Reynolds, executive director – Worldwide Product Marketing, Lenovo; and Amar Babu, MD, Lenovo India will announce its future plans.

Lenovo has tapped NBA superstar, Kobe Bryant to promote the K900 in its television and print advertisements and on social media sites in China and Southeast Asia.

K900 premium smartphone — running on Intel Atom processor — was announced at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show.

Lenovo’s K900 sports a 5.5-inch IPS screen.

Lenovo K900 is the first smartphone to leverage the latest Intel Atom Z2580 processor, a dual core chip, which runs up to 2.0 GHz and utilizes Intel Hyper-Threading technology.

The device features an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator engine running a PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU, which triples graphics performance over the previous generation.
