Intex, on Wednesday, showed-off the prototype of its first True Octa-Core smartphone which will be powered by a MediaTek MT6592 (eight-core) processor.
The upcoming smartphone will debut in early January and will be priced around Rs 20,000. Though it was a prototype, the device revealed its name on the back cover – probably Intex Aqua i17.
Intex has announced the specifications of its octa-core device. The key specs include – a 6-inch HD IPS LCD display, 7mm thickness, 16/32GB internal memory, 2GB RAM, Android JellyBean 4.2.2 and will run on an eight-core processor clocked at 1.7Ghz. Pre-installed apps will be there including Intex Cloud, Matrabhashsa and many more.
The MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor will make multi-tasking easier and unlock many multimedia capabilities. While Android 4.4 is already out, we expected at least JB 4.3 from this device. The company does not offer a timeline to upgrade to the next OS.
The device will come with a 13MP rear camera with auto-focus + LED Flash, a 5MP front camera and will be fueled by a 2300mAh battery.
