Intex reveals Aqua HD along with Aqua i4

Intex has launched two new dual-sim smartphones in India – Aqua HD and Aqua i4 – to expand its Aqua series of smartphones. Also, Intex is planning to sell 3 lakh smartphones next month (October).

While Aqua HD is priced at Rs 15,900, Intex has priced the Aqua i4 at Rs 9,490 and the specs are worth its price, I think.

Aqua HD, as the name states, has 4.7-inch scratch-resistant HD display (720×1280) and runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.  Also, this phone has an amazing feature – Lookaway, but this feature is available on most of the premium devices.

Intex’s Aqua HD runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and comes with 4GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB) and 1GB RAM. Only 7.9 mm thick, this gizmo has sleek looks and sports aluminum alloy keys. To make multitasking easy, Aqua HD comes with another feature called ‘My Screen’.

13MP rear and 5MP front camera will surely click nice pics from the Aqua HD. It is fueled by an 1800mAh battery which increases the phone’s standby time up to 300 hrs. But, the cheaper Aqua i4 – priced at Rs 9,490 – is powered by a 2000mAh battery. This may sound a bit absurd as most of the premium devices have higher battery capacity than cheaper phones.

Now if we talk about the Intex Aqua i4, it runs on a 1.2 GHz dual core processor with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. An 8MP rear camera along with flash is placed on the back of the phone.

On the front, we have a 5-inch display along with a 1.3MP front camera. Both the phones offer pre-installed apps.
