Google Nexus 5 shows-up in Play Store for $349 (16GB)

While KitKat is still puzzling us with various teasers, Google’s Play Store let us take a quick look at the upcoming Nexus 5.

The smartphone, which seems to run on Android 4.4, appeared in the Play Store for some time and then Google hid it by showing the old Nexus 4 on top of it.

When spotted, the LG Nexus 5 sat along Nexus 7 (2013) and the Nexus 10. Its caption read –“Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways. Starting at $349.”

When you clicked the phone it went to a broken link and which stated ‘nexus_5_black_16gb’.

Now you can confirm that the LG-Google Nexus 5 will start at $349 (16GB) and will be available in black. Also, some reports suggest that the 32GB variant will be priced at $399.

Did you notice that the phone’s time shows ‘4:40’? Probably, you are looking at the first device running on Android 4.4 KitKat. The new Nexus 7 (2013) shows ‘4:30’ as its time, because it runs on Android 4.3!

The interesting thing –Nexus 4 was also priced at $349 (16GB) but had an 8GB variant priced at $299.

@KitKat posted some teasers (with clues) which threw light on October 28 as Android 4.4’s launch date.
