DataWind launches CBSE mapped learning content on UbiSlates

DataWind has launched multimedia rich educational content on UbiSlate tablet. Students in India now have access to this CBSE curriculum mapped rich content.

The editorial package is available for Rs 5,999 through This special educational package comes with the 7 inch capacitive, UbiSlate 7C+ tablet, a microSD Card and the full version of the award winning learning content from iScuela.

The DataWind tablets will have the demo version of the iScuela Education application. The users can upgrade to the full version after using the trial version.

DataWind will also separately offer the full version on its UbiSlate 7C+.

“Unlike other available educational content and software, we have worked very hard to ensure that the price is low, just so that good quality learning resources are most accessible and that learners are not challenged by the affordability barrier”, said Suneet Singh Tuli, president and CEO, DataWind.

The content is available offline on the tablet and can be accessed anywhere, anytime.  Interactive exercises, quizzes, experiments and 3D videos embedded in all the chapters across subjects help reinforce their understanding of the subjects.

In July, DataWind also entered into a retail partnership with South India-based electronic retailer UniverCell to market the company’s UbiSlate tablets.

DataWind, which has been selling its product through ecommerce and consumer channels, will offer its entire product range of UbiSlate Tablet PCs and PocketSurfer Smartphones available off-the-shelf at UniverCell’s more than 500 retail outlets spread across Southern India.

DataWind’s web delivery platform, offered on the UbiSurfer browser, delivers a fast web experience on even congested or rural 2.5G mobile networks.
