Blackberry has launched a series of mobile apps to help the young Indians to utilize their right to vote in a meaningful manner.
Voter India 2014 is a free mobile application that motivates the youth to vote for the right candidate in the 2014 elections. The app provides the detailed profiles of candidates participating from different constituencies in election 2014.
Chunav ’14 is an election app that displays the real time election results on the user’s smartphone as the counting is in progress. It gives the detailed results of candidate, party or constituency of choice at any given time. The app is priced Rs 50.
Hike Messenger: This is a free messaging app from BSP. It has special sticker pack for leaders like Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, as well as other general stickers dedicated to parties participating in the election. These stickers are designed to make election chats more contextual and meaningful, BlackBerry said.
Voter Registration India is another free app that helps first time voters to register their name in the voter’s list. All they have to do is to download the application, fill the form and upload their photo. Then they take print out of the form and submit to their ERO along with necessary proofs and signatures.
