Microsoft Devices on Monday said Nokia 130 will be available for a price of Rs 1,649 in India.
The company last week said it would post low revenue due to poor performance of its low range phones and the latest strategies.
The 1020mAh battery of Nokia 130 offers up to 36 days standby, 13 hours of 2G talk time, 46 hours of music playback and 16 hours of video playback. This indicates that Microsoft worked well to address the demand of rural Indians, who face power shortage.
In fact, Microsoft is targeting smartphone users as well. The company said Nokia 130 will be ideal for first time mobile phone buyers in India or people seeking a reliable backup phone to complement their existing smartphone.
The dual-SIM Nokia 130 features 1.8” QQVGA color display. Connectivity of Nokia 130 includes USB 2.0, 3.5mm AV Connector, microSD and Bluetooth 3.0 with SLAM. Its 32 GB SD card can store up to 6,000 songs.
The Nokia 130 is available in Red, Black and White in the Indian phone market.
Nokia 130 comes with a built-in video player, music player with up to 46 hours continuous playback on a single charge, a flashlight, FM radio and USB charging.
“With the Nokia 130, our endeavor is to connect millions to the new mobile experience keeping in tandem with our core philosophy of connecting the next billion,” said Raghuvesh Sarup, director – Marketing, Nokia India Sales, subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile.
